Al-Inayah Islamic Boarding School Cooperative Supports OPOP in East Java To Achieve Economic Independence

SURABAYA – Al-Inayah Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) Purwosari Pasuruan accompanied by the East Java One Pesantren One Product (OPOP) Program has an Al-Inayah boarding school that has been officially incorporated.

One of the business units owned by the Al-Inayah Islamic Boarding School Cooperative is a minimarket. Through this cooperative, superior products of Islamic Boarding School can be created and become a business entity as well as a tool of independence of an Islamic Boarding School institutions.

“Incidentally, this is the inauguration of an Islamic Boarding School cooperative which is originally only a shop business, then we have improved it even better to serve students (santri) and the community,” said KH Ali Zainal Abidin as a kyai.

As part of OPOP, this Islamic Boarding School cooperative also has a product.

“We have catfish nuggets, catfish meatballs and hopefully in the future we can do even better,” Kyai added.

Cooperative of Islamic Boarding School is a way to generate economic of an Islamic Boarding School independence and the entrepreneurial passion of the students in East Java.

Muhammad Ghofirin as General Secretary of OPOP in East Java stated that OPOP in East Java consists of three pillars, namely Santripreneur (empowering santri in pesantren), Pesantrenpreneur (independence of pesantren institutions) and Sociopreneur (Empowering Santri Alumni).

“In the second pillar, the pesantrenpreneur pillar, we encourage the Islamic Boarding School to have a boarding school cooperative which is a legal entity,” said the Man who is also the Director of OPOP Training Center at UNUSA.

Not only provide encouragement, but also OPOP will assist the cooperative management that has been incorporated in various sectors such as human resources, production, marketing, institutional and financing.

Looking at the potential of this Islamic Boarding School, M.Ghofirin express optimist.

“OPOP East Java is optimistic that Al Inayah will be more successful in the future. The santri, boarding school and alumni empowerment program will run well “.

Catfish which are produced are not sold directly but are processed into a product that is ready for distribution in neat packaging.
